The first-ever “Blessing of the Animals” Service will be held at First United Church outdoors on the lawn at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 22 (weather permitting). Lead Pastor Rev. Julie R. Harley invites pet owners to bring pets on leashes or in cages, or bring a photo of your pet to be blessed.
First United Church is a union church of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and the United Church of Christ. The Wildly Important Goal of First United Church is “creating and maintaining a framework that nourishes the spiritual welfare of the congregation.” First United Church is located at 848 Lake Street.
