This morning on the way to work, I saw a driver get pulled over at Ridgeland & South Boulevard by a grey Lexus IS250 with flashing police lights. It kind of took me by surprise.
I think the driver was pulled over because they were driving in the parking lane. They tried to pass on the right under the El tracks at the stop light. You know how impatient Chicago drivers like to snake to the front of the line at a stop light on the right hand side and then drag race off…Continue

I noticed today at the Green Line Ridgeland stop that the there is a new bus shelter for the riders! Lovely!
It used to be somewhat of a pain to have to wait at the curb for the bus as there was no where to sit. Often times, bus riders would just stand around indoors at the train station waiting on the bus. I just thought I would share some information about a cool place I found yesterday in Brookfield called Galloping Ghost Arcade. If you were a kid in the 70s and 80s, you will think you have gone back in time.

I am really curious to hear about LiveHere member hobbies. Having a hobby is a great way to release stress. I am guessing some of you knit, program computers, garden, cook, photography, etc. So what do you do in your spare time for fun?
I have two hobbies that I really enjoy. The main one that takes up most of my free time now is racing remote control 1/8th scale off road cars. I race them all over IL, MI, and WI now. The cars are typically gas powered…Continue

I cooked this tonight and thought I would share it with everyone. It was Delicious... with a capital D. It is soup mostly of potatoes, corn, red bell peppers, chives, and leeks.
Of course, I had to throw some nice bacon goodness on top. I highly suggest you go all out on the bacon and get the Black Forest Bacon from the meat counter at Whole Foods. Trust me, that regular ole Jimmy Dean bacon will just seem so inadequate after you've had this Black…Continue
