This morning on the way to work, I saw a driver get pulled over at Ridgeland & South Boulevard by a grey Lexus IS250 with flashing police lights.  It kind of took me by surprise. 

I think the driver was pulled over because they were driving in the parking lane.  They tried to pass on the right under the El tracks at the stop light.  You know how impatient Chicago drivers like to snake to the front of the line at a stop light on the right hand side and then drag race off…

I noticed today at the Green Line Ridgeland stop that the there is a new bus shelter for the riders!  Lovely!

It used to be somewhat of a pain to have to wait at the curb for the bus as there was no where to sit.  Often times, bus riders would just stand around indoors at the train station waiting on the bus.  Now we have these nice little shelters.   You can't see it in the photo, but there is a bench to sit down on too.   These must have been put up very recently as they were still…

I cooked this tonight and thought I would share it with everyone.  It was Delicious...  with a capital D.   It is soup mostly of potatoes, corn, red bell peppers, chives, and leeks.
