With construction I am spending close to 4.5 hours on my bikram practice. Please tell me if there is any news about the Oak Park studio. Just don't know how long I can keep this up.
There's a great yoga studio featured on Groupon.com today. Not sure if they feature Bikram sessions, but it's a great deal for any yoga enthusiasts out there.
Just take it easy as a beginner. Back bends are the best for any lower back pain. Good Luck!
This week, I'm starting a beginners' class at Yoga Trek--I need to make my back more flexible again! So if anyone has any advice for newbies, I'd love to hear it!
There must be something crazy in me because I enjoy the the intensity of the full Bikram experience! LOL
I love the hot corepower class. It's kind of like a "bikram lite". Easier to fit into my schedule and I still have some energy left after the class.
oooh I have to check this place out. They are offering a free week of classes too with a coupon.
I've heard good things about Core Power (opening in May in River Forest) but the yoga is a watered down version of Bikram.
I just tried out the sculpt class at Core Power Yoga a few weeks ago at a different location - it was a great workout (albeit painful!).
Just found out from one of my Oak Park Tweeps that another studio is coming to Oak Park in May called corepower yoga.

Maybe if I saw her. I haven't been to the Naperville studio in quite awhile.
I tried Hatha the other night at FFC. Loved it. Definitely stretched my back out.
Mari, I know of another Oak Parker that goes to Naperville, named Alex - do you know her?
Are there any Bikram practitioners in Oak Park besides me? A source has confirmed that a studio is in the works here in OP and should be ready by late summer. For those of you that are not familiar with Bikram, it's a series of Hatha Yoga poses done…
