After seeing the agenda for the most recent board meeting, I have a feeling the high sticker prices were an attempt to help plug our 9% budget shortfall.
I guess the village has to get money from somewhere! That's rough. I watched the village board meeting on t.v. Monday and they did say that they're behind in sending the stickers out. So if you haven't gotten yours yet, they're working on it!
wow, that is a pretty hefty late fee. Seems like everyone is trying to squeeze blood out of a stone these days. I know I feel like I am being nickel and dimed to death.
I am wondering if anyone else is mad about getting hit with double price on late payment of their the vehicle sticker. I was 7 days late for my 2009-10 sticker and was informed that this year instead of the $5.00 previously charged for late payment…

I am wondering if anyone else is mad about getting hit with double price on late payment of their the vehicle sticker. I was 7 days late for my 2009-10 sticker and was informed that this year instead of the $5.00 previously charged for late payment it would be double this year- ouch! That meant with 2 cars we went from $110 to $220 that hurts! I guess I am just feeling rubbed the wrong way on this. It feels mean spirited and frankly I wonder if it's legal.
