
•The easiest way to start a blog post is
to go to “Blogs” at the top of any page and then select “+ Add a
Blog Post.”
•As you create your blog post, be sure to give it a descriptive
title so other members know what it is about.
•If you’ve got some good info to share in your blog, link to it!
Just highlight the text you want to be linked, click on the chain
icon at the top of the entry box and paste the website address in
the box.
•Pictures are easy to add too. Simply place your cursor where you’d
like to insert the picture and click on the camera icon to insert
your photo. Use the “Options” menu to select the size of your
photo, the placement and if you would like the text to wrap around
your image.
•Remember to add a few tags to your blog entry this will allow
members to find your blog entries when they search for certain
keywords on the site. Insert a few words to describe the topic
you’re writing about in the “Tags” box. If you’re using a multiple
word phrase, be sure to put it in quotation marks so the site knows
it’s all one phrase. For example: “Oak Park Library”, “Oak Park,”
or “Colt site.”
