Hi Moms, I thought you might be interested in this post from the library: http://www.livehereoakpark.com/events/sensory-storytime-with-miss-s...
Hello Moms of Oak Park, I am a Dad of Oak Park (mostly stay-at-home), I've probably seen a lot of you at parks with my 2 little ones. I started a business making children's books and posters. I would like to offer 2 free digital posters to you and your children to get your input on the product. Please check out the site! Proceeds benefit children in foster care at Hephzibah Home.

Comment by Maya A. on February 21, 2012 at 8:25pm In the meantime, can some of you offer some insight on best areas to look for apartments in Oak Park? I'm learning Oak Park is made up of villages is this right? If so, can you all suggest some villages ideal for a family with young children? I'll be wanting to enroll my son in pre-k so maybe with that in mind? Is living near the blue line and okay area?
Comment by Maya A. on February 21, 2012 at 8:16pm Hello everyone! My name is Maya and I am moving to Oak Park (most likely) this summer and am hoping to connect with other Mamas! I'm 26, I have two little ones-- a 3 1/2 yr old (boy) and an almost 1 year old (girl). My husband will be working at Rush. I'll be moving from Columbus! (Originally from Ann Arbor). I, like Jennifer will have tons of questions I'm sure and also just wanted to introduce myself!
Comment by flowermom on February 15, 2012 at 11:00am Hey ladies ... I am a relatively new mom of an 8 month old daughter who is milk and soy protein interolerant (MSPI). We found out when she was 3 months and I've been doing the MSPI diet since then b/c I am bf'ing. I plan to continue till she's 12 months, but really have been nervous about going out to eat. Just wondering if other Oak Park moms dealing with food allergies had any recommendations on local restaurants and their ability to accommodate you?

Comment by Jennifer on February 14, 2012 at 9:06pm Hi guys! I'm a mom moving from the city to Oak Park in March. I'm sure I'll have tons of questions once we get there, but for now, I thought I'd introduce myself. My little guy is 18 months.
Comment by Jenna Hilton on January 6, 2012 at 8:01pm Hello Everyone,
I am a Nanny Placement Specialist with Olive. You. Nanny. and we are now expanding to Oak Park! After seven successful years in the city, we are now offering placements in West Chicago!
If any of you are involved in meetup groups or other parenting groups in the city, Olive. You. Nanny. would be happy to come and speak at one of your group sessions. We would like to provide a free presentation and Q/A session concerning the attainment of quality childcare with a speaker, Sarah Davis, who is a board member of the Neighborhood Parenting Network.
Let me know if you are interested! We have now expanded and we are eager to get to know more families in the Oak Park area.
