Comment by Sarah Abboreno Corbin on March 21, 2011 at 1:22pm Hey everybody this is a great deal and a great chance to update your head shot. I know I need one, getting a photo without my son's ear in it is probably a great idea

Comment by Sarah Abboreno Corbin on March 21, 2011 at 1:19pm Hi Everyone,
I know I sent a message to everyone, but I thought I would repost on this wall. Yova Coffee Shop is in need of more artwork/photos done by local artists/photographers. If you or someone you know would be interested in displaying and selling their pieces, please feel free to contact me directly at theyovashop@gmail.com. Also - if the St. Patty's Day spirit moves you tomorrow please stop in for a Shamrock Jubilee Shake!!!!

Comment by Jill Robertson on March 3, 2011 at 2:36pm Hello everyone!
I just wanted to take a few sentences to introduce myself as a newbie to the Local Business Owners group! My name is Jill and I opened an acupuncture clinic on Lake and Marion mid-October 2010. I have a strong focus on patient education and am passionate about helping others realize their role in getting and staying well. I treat a range of issues including women's health, pain management, digestive disorders and common colds/flus among others. I am looking forward to participating in this group and meeting other business owners!

Comment by Tommaso Luca Sanna on January 20, 2011 at 8:23pm Hello fellow business owners!! !:)
I'm Tommaso, I design fitness and nutrition programs in Oak Park for 2 years now. As I read each everyone one of you, I too like to share a bit about me. I worked as a Chef at Caputo's Cheese Market, when on May 30th, I was informed that the company had to let me go. So got laid off. I had never experience anything like that, so at first was a bit sad and overwhelming. Little did I know that it was going to be the coolest thing of 2010.
Due to pay cut , I had to make some personal life changes, it was actually the best thing! It gave me time to think about what I really wanted to do. My passion for food and creation drove me to apply to almost every single restaurant in Oak Park, but the season was low and there weren't any openings. I waited tables at Marion Street Cheese Market for a couple of months. Due to a family emergency I left MSCM, in NYC, When I came back, I decided to resume my true passion as personal trainer full time. As certified fitness and nutrition professional I offer indoor and outdoor workouts,in Triathlon training, Marathons, sports specific training & conditioning for tennis players, golfers. as well as online personal training for $69 per month, at home and office workouts where I come to you.
This year I launched fitness in the kitchen which I will teach you how to prep and cook LEAN & Nutritious meals. These cooking classes go for $50- $89 per couple . Other services include nutrition coaching and various outdoor boot camps ( Spring and Summer, Fall) . Okay so that's a bit about me and my business.
We do live in a great community, and priviledge to be part of this team. Thank you Becca and Brian for setting this up!
Oak Park Fitness has a solid foundation for 2011 and I will like to extend our professional fitness services and welcome your referrals.
I look forward to meeting each and everyone of you with a warm workout
