Hi fellow artists!  Hope to see many of you at Art on Harrison --now moved to May 26 due to the NATO summit...

And, just for fun, check out my latest "tour de force" piece -- a "Mink Stole" made out of 82 beaded mink skulls.  It's part of an exhibit titled Creature Comforts: Artist Statements on Life's Luxuries at a gallery near Washington DC.-- Pics and video on my website:  www.pearlsforgood.com

See you on Harrison--stop by my tent & say Hi!

I received a message about working through The Artist's Way book by Julia Cameron but deleted it before I had looked up info. Did that go to everyone in this group? Can someone please remind me of the details? Thanks and Happy Holidays.

The Oak Park Public Library is inviting local artists to create their own version of a "Wild Thing" to go in the Library Gallery Oct. 24 - Nov. 30 in an exhibit titled "Oak Park: Where the Wild Things Are." This is part of the Maurice Sendak celebration around the national traveling exhibit coming Oct. 26 - Dec. 16 titled "In a Nutshell: The Worlds of Maurice Sendak." The Library will celebrate with art, films, lectures, storytelliing and more! Preliminary "Wild Thing" idea and commitment is due to Debby Preiser on Friday, Sept. 16 -- final art is due Friday, Oct. 14. Contact me at dpreiser@oppl.org

Debby, just wanted to know that I appreciated the possibility of inclusion, at a late date, but it was just too tight a timetable for me to make something I'd be happy to display. I'm sure it'll be a fabulous show -- I'm looking forward to seeing the installation!
