We too are moving to Oak Park in the next few months and will be looking for childcare options as well.
The current owners of the house we're buying sent me what seems to be an amazing resource in this regard: the mom mail list.
Mom Mail FAQs
They also sent me a sample list from a couple of years ago, and pretty much every type of childcare seems to be accounted for. People who need help from 5-7am while they train for triathalons, people who need pickups and dropoffs from school--everything.
When our move date comes closer, we'll be looking and posting to this list.

EDITED:
Here, I'll upload the file of it instead...

Permalink Reply by EricM on August 30, 2010 at 9:59am The Wednesday Journal publish a community guide of childcare options every year. It has a lot of listings. You can find it here. Some of it is irrelevant for what you need (pre-schools and such) but should be helpful.
