The Oak Park-River Forest Chamber of Commerce is featuring an acclaimed improv troupe at its annual meeting and celebration at The Arts Center, 200 N. Oak Park Ave. in Oak Park.
As in years past, the official order of business on Thursday, Feb. 18 is the installation of the new Board of Directors for the organization. (See their names below.)
But a special element this year is the addition of MISSION IMPROVable (pronounced improv-a-bull), which will entertain those gathered.
The fee is $50. In addition to hearty hors d'oeuvres and cocktails, there will be coffee and dessert. During the evening, the new board of directors will be sworn into office.
But the centerpiece of the evening is the comedic entertainment in the center’s theater space.
“MISSION IMPROVable is a hilarious group and their performance alone is worth the ticket price,” said Kim Goldschmidt, the chamber’s president. “It’s on top of drinks, great food, some raffles and networking. The combination adds up to a great value that we’re pleased to extend to the business community.”
The Chamber board’s new members are Karen Mullarkey Kerrins of Affordable Backyard Tents; Craig Peterson of Peterson & Associates Partnership; Zachary Soiya of Park Place Dental, LLC; and Tom Van Winkle of Animal Care League.
For more information, or to make your reservation, contact the chamber office at 708-848-8151 or visit the organization online at www.oprfchamber.org.
